The Lirpa Sloof Foundation is anouncing a donation of $111 million to relief organizations dealing with the Dec 26, 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. This donation will delay the Foundation's plans to announce a monetary prize program for scientific achievements until the second calendar quarter of 2005.

The Sloof Foundation is a non-profit philanthropic organization which supports science and technology research projects. The foundation is based in Las Vegas, Nevada and was founded by Dr Lirpa Sloof. The Foundation's primary focus is on university research projects.
